About
Karlos has over 40 years of experience in public accounting in Dallas. He has broad experience in taxation, including physician practices, retail, financial planning, family office settings, real estate and estate and gift tax. He was a tax partner in a large local CPA firm prior to forming KCMD LLP.
He attended Baylor University and graduated with a BBA in Accounting.
Karlos is a member of the Dallas Estate Planning Council and is a past board member. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Karlos enjoys sporting activities, the outdoors and listening to classical music.

Mike has worked in corporate and partnership taxation for over 40 years. He began his career in the oil and gas industry, and a significant amount of the time was associated with the tax accounting for constructed facilities. His recent practice focus includes real estate development pass-through entities.
Mike grew up in Big Spring, Texas and later attended West Texas State University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Administration degree in accounting. Upon graduation, he joined T. Boone Pickens with Mesa Petroleum Company and spent 20 years gaining experience in corporate tax and regulatory issues. During this time, Mike was involved in one of the largest publicly traded partnerships ever formed. The partnership existed for eight years, and Mike was responsible for implementing the tax information system that generated K-1 information to over 180,000 partners. After a corporate merger, Mike moved into the Big 4 accounting world where he spent 7 years obtaining his real estate experience. He joined Howard, LLP in 2006 where he became a Tax Partner in 2008.
Mike is a member of the Tax Section of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. Mike is a past president of the Real Estate Financial Executives Association.
During his free time, Mike enjoys playing guitar and considers himself to be a lifetime student of the instrument. His wife, children, five grandsons and one granddaughter bring him constant joy. They have been known to hear him say that “He is living the dream.”

Araceli has worked in taxation for 15 years. She began her career at a medium-sized firm in Dallas TX and later joined KCMD LLP in 2014. She has a broad experience in taxation that includes physician practices, family businesses, real estate, restaurants, and individual tax planning.
She attended Texas Woman’s University and graduated with a Master’s in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting.
Araceli is a member of the Texas Society of CPA’s. During her free time, she loves spending time with family and exploring beaches in Mexico with her husband, two girls and son.

Beau is a certified public accountant with over 10 years of experience serving privately held businesses and their owners. His practice focuses on tax planning and compliance for manufacturing, construction, real estate, and professional service companies, as well as high net worth individuals. Prior to joining KCMD LLP, Beau was a principal at a national accounting firm.
Beau earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Southern California and his Master of Science in Accounting from Southern Methodist University. He obtained his CPA license from the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy in 2015 and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of Public Accountants.
In his free time, Beau enjoys traveling, golfing, and other outdoor activities.
